Afasic Bike Ride
The Afasic London to Brighton charity bike ride is now open for registration, and I very much hope that you will want to take part.
This is a 1 day ride that is taking place on Saturday 14 July 2012, and will total approximately 60 miles of peddling, using cycle paths and smaller roads wherever possible. For a ‘sporting’ link, in what is Olympic year, we will be starting the event at Crystal Palace. Maps and directions will be provided to all participants and the event will have a bike mechanic and support vehicle on hand to keep everyone on the move.
To enter please complete and return the registration form below and appropriate fee as soon as possible.
We really hope that you will be able to join us on this ride; it should be a great day out!

If you are interested in taking part and would like some further information then please email Mark Thompson or call him on 020 7490 9410.
Please support Afasic; you really can help to make a difference.

Manchester bike ride
Another option for a bike ride if you live in the North of the country is the ‘Manchester Chester Manchester Cyclosportive’ on Saturday 12 May. This offers 3 great routes around the Cheshire plains of 30, 60, or 100 miles. Routes have been designed by experienced cyclists from local clubs and keep to mainly quiet B roads.
Starting in Poynton, South Manchester, the routes take the riders through the Cheshire Plains, then do a loop around Delamere Forest near Chester before heading back to Poynton. There are no major climbs, the course is mainly flat with a few undulations and small hills.
For more information and to enter go to the Manchester bike ride website and then contact us for a fundraising pack.
