Assistant Helpline Manager
17.5 hours per week
Starting Salary: £22 920 (pro rata £11 460) including London allowance
Location: London
The Afasic helpline delivers information and support to parents, enabling them to access the help their children need. Traditionally, we have done this mainly through answering queries by telephone and e-mail but are now seeking to extend our scope to reach a larger number and more varied profile of parents through a broad range of media and personal contacts. This position would suit someone with the commitment and vision to work with the helpline manager to move this forward.
The successful applicant will be able to empathise with parents of children with speech and language impairments, having had previous relevant experience in a paid or voluntary role. You should also be an accomplished user of computers and social media, and have experience of delivering training.

Corporate & Events Fundraiser
Office based in London EC1 and/or home based
Salary £27,007 pa
Afasic is seeking a proactive and creative individual to lead and develop its corporate fundraising activities, and to deliver successful fundraising events. The position is full time (35 hours per week) on an initial 12-month contract; and reports to the Director for Fundraising. At least 3 days a week to be in the London office, with flexibility to work from home on other days.
